I am not neglecting you...

I just don't have time for you. I admit I have been putting more effort and posts into my new group blog ANTIFUCK, but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop posting in HT. My interest and journey of sexuality still continues.

I realised a lot of the study of feminism and female sexuality is concentrated on western culture. It made me wonder what was feminism like in the east?

I can only think of two eastern females that has tested the boundaries of female sexuality. Yoko Ono and Margaret Cho. Yet even these two didn't focus their works entirely on feminism.

I had a general google about it and came across this article on about.com. It's an interview with an Indian feminist author, Sarojini Sahoo and the controversial books she wrote concerning issues of female sexuality in India. Sahoo also has her own blog where she discusses and explores these ideas.

It makes me wonder about feminism and female sexuality in Chinese culture. I've noticed how a lot of these eastern feminists have to move to the west in order to get their voices heard. Not that I don't understand why, just something funny I noticed.

Also a lot of the ideas they reflect are thinkings from western feminism.

Are there eastern only ideas on feminism? Or is feminism something universal?

Something for me to ponder about, particularly as a female Chinese.

Either way, there is something I want to declare about myself and be damn unashamed of it.

I like sex. I am interested in sex - I am fascinated, I want to study it, I think it plays an important role in everyone's lives!

I don't care how that statement gets interpreted. If you take it as dirty and repulsive then be my guest. It just doesn't say much about you as a person.

Sex isn't all always about intercourse (I bet it's the first thing you thought of), there is gender, sexuality, society, relationships, morality, politics and...so much more! It's fairly obvious from my past blog posts, and even this post, what area of sex I am interested in.

And for those who continue to pull a face after that explanation...
